Update on SCLT Explore History: Dinosaurs and Tribal History

According to Chris Verba, Marketing and Development Contractor for SCLT, said there was an update on the date of the Sheridan Explore History program. The program at the Hub on Smith has been moved from Tuesday, January 13, to Tuesday, January 27, and will take place from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.

This month, the Sheridan Community Land Trust Explore History program will feature Thomas Hebert, Executive Director of the Natural History Museum of Wyoming. Herbert ‘s talk is titled, Unearthing stories Together: Dinosaurs, Tribal Knowledge, and Shared History.

He will share his experiences as a paleontologist working alongside American Indian tribes to preserve fossil collections and protect the stories they hold.

The talk on Tuesday, January 20 from 10:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. at the Tongue River Valley Community Center in Dayton, remains unchanged.

SCLT Explore History programs are free and open to all.
