The Johnson County Tourism Association will host a public open house from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, in Buffalo to discuss the role of tourism in the local economy and share information on its marketing efforts.

The event will take place at Creekside Family Fun Center, located at 665 E. Hart St., and will be held as a come-and-go open house. Creekside will sponsor beverage service, with one free drink available for the first 75 people in attendance, and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about tourism’s impact in Johnson County, ask questions, and provide feedback directly to JCTA staff. While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Johnson County Tourism Association Marketing Director Toby Carrig said the open house is intended to share information with business owners and the public on marketing efforts, social media tools, and future plans.
