Sheridan Community Land Trust is inviting neighbors and history-curious folks to learn the story behind Wyoming’s last surviving streetcar, the Ol’ #115 — including its early days running between downtown Sheridan and Fort Mackenzie and its big move to the SCLT Big Goose Natural Area, where SCLT is working to preserve and restore it.

The same program will be offered twice, so you can choose the time and place that works best:

SCLT Explore History: Streetcar 115 – On Track for Preservation; Tuesday, December 9 from 10:00–11:30 a.m. at The Hub on Smith, Sheridan.

It will be held again on Tuesday, December 16, from 10:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. at the Tongue River Valley Community Center, Dayton.

“Kevin Knapp, SCLT’s History Program Manager, will guide us through the story of Ol’ #115 and share what comes next as volunteers and community partners work toward restoration. Kevin will also dig into the history of the second streetcar line that served Tongue River coal communities, adding even more local connection and color to the tale.”

Both talks are free, open to everyone, and part of SCLT’s ongoing Explore History series — where everyone can come together to learn, ask questions, and celebrate the stories that make this place home.
