US Army Corps of Engineers Chief to visit Sheridan

Sheridan City Councilman Greg Luhman and Utilities Director Dan Roberts made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, in part, to announce an upcoming visit from the Chief of Army Corps of Engineers.

US Army Lieutenant General William “Butch” Graham and Commander of the Omaha District, Colonel Robert Newbauer, will visit Sheridan on July 9 – 10, to review and tour completed the Army Corp of Engineers project, 1135 Goose Creek Project Ecosystem Restoration.

Roberts said the review is only part of the tour, as the General and Colonel will also be touring more work the US Army Corps of Engineers has planned in Sheridan.

A Project Completion Ceremony for 1135 Ecosystem Restoration Project will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 10, at Mill Park.

According to the City, Lieutenant General Graham, Colonel Newbauer and their staff will then attend the rodeo on Thursday night to experience the Sheridan WYO Rodeo and Wyoming culture as their way to celebrate the US Army’s 250th birthday on June 14.

    I hope they look at 5 Mike creek through Ranchester and offer help to residents with eroding creek banks and flooding issues
