Buffalo’s City Council has voted to approve their annual appropriation bill, or budget, for the 2025-26 fiscal year.

This year’s budget, which could possibly be amended before it is passed, is set at just under $13 million, which is less than the council originally agreed to in their budget meetings, according to Mayor Shane Schrader.

The council will need to pass Ordinance No. 1424 on two more readings before it takes effect.
