Senator Lummis Discusses Recent Inflation Rates

Inflation was one of the topics addressed during a recent interview with U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
According to U.S. Labor Department data published Tuesday, the annual inflation rate for the U.S. was 2.3 percent for the 12 months ending April, compared to the previous rate increase of 2.4 percent. U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis said the current rate is the lowest since February of 2021.
The House Ways and Means Committee voted this week to make the Trump tax cuts of 2017 permanent. House leaders hope to bring the legislation to a vote as early as next week. Senator Lummis talked about some challenges they’ll face in the Senate once the bill makes its way through the House.
