Pat BlairThe nose gear of a private plane collapsed on landing late Sunday at the Sheridan County Airport, apparently leaving the plane badly damaged, but the pilot was uninjured.
Airport Manager John Stopka said the plane was a single-engine Cessna.
Stopka said the pilot is from Casper.
He said the collapse of the nose gear happened just as the pilot touched down on the runway. Stopka said airport personnel responded to the incident and removed the plane from the runway.
He said he wasn’t sure exactly when the incident happened, only that it was late in the afternoon.
