Application Deadline for Buffalo-Johnson County One Percent Funds February 28

During the most recent Buffalo City Council meeting, Buffalo Mayor Shane Schrader announced that applications for One-Percent funding from the city and county are due before the end of February.

Applications for the 2025-26 Johnson County/City of Buffalo One Percent funds will be taken until 5 p.m. on Friday, February 28, and can be turned in to the Johnson County Commissioner’s Office, or Buffalo City Hall.

Both the city council and county commission will take the recommendations of the 1% Optional Sales Tax Committee to distribute funding to various outside and governmental entities which will be awarded later this spring during the city and county annual budget sessions.

Applications are available at city hall and the county courthouse, or online at the county website.
