Buffalo’s City Council, at their meeting Tuesday evening, passed a Resolution approving a budget amendment for their FY 2024-25 Budget.

During the Public Hearing in the matter, City Clerk/Treasurer Julie Silbernagel gave more details on the reason for the amendment.

When asked why there was an increase in the costs for planning services, she further explained that the city had originally budgeted $40,000 for a city employee that was covering both the building inspector and planning duties but had to hire an outside firm to take planning when he chose to decline those duties.

After closing the public hearing, the council voted to approve the amendment to increase the city’s appropriation bill by $113,000 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025.
