Aaron PalmerAn event to help those affected by this year’s wildfires will be happening this Saturday in Buffalo.
The “Ashes to the Table” community dinner and dance is co-organized by Ashlea Bassett, who gives more details on the organizers and what they hope to accomplish with the event.
Bassett said the idea of the fundraiser is to give back to those affected and show that the rest of the community is behind them because right now they need their community more than anything.
She talked about what has been lost.
Bassett said everyone from everywhere is welcome and invited to attend.
There will be senior and handicapped parking available downtown for the dinner, with parking at Buffalo High School along with a shuttle bus to downtown.
The “Ashes to the Table” community dinner and dance will be Saturday on Main Street with dinner scheduled at 6 p.m. and the dance to follow at 8 p.m.
There is no cost to attend but a free-will donation is recommended that will go to the Johnson County Fire Relief Fund.
