South Downtown Project Public Meeting

The City of Sheridan and CDG Engineers, Inc. will be hosting a public meeting next week to present details of the South Downtown Project. The meeting will be Tuesday, October 8 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm in the Community Conference Room of the Sheridan Memorial Hospital Primary Care facility at 61 South Gould Street. The meeting will give the residents that live in the project area the opportunity to discuss the project with City officials and engineers. The meeting will consist of an update on the project design, construction phasing, and the feedback that has been received from area residents and property owners.

The Sheridan South Downtown Project is identified in the City’s Capital Improvement Plan as a neighborhood project to rehabilitate and replace all of the infrastructure, including water and sewer lines, stormwater systems, curb and gutter, sidewalks and roadway paving. The project area is just south of the Sheridan County Courthouse and encompasses south Main Street to the east, west College to the south, west Whitney to the north, and up to Thurmond to the west. The multi-year project is expected to begin in the summer of 2025.
