Buffalo to Have Pre-construction Meeting on Wells Project

During the City of Buffalo’s Department Head meeting this week, City Works Director Kevin Silbernagel said there will be a pre-construction meeting Thursday on the final phase of the Buffalo Wells Project.
According to letsbuild.com, the purpose of a pre-construction meeting is to communicate to the project team the plans and expectations before any job is executed on site, to ensure that everyone starts the job on the same page and progresses as a team.
It defins the roles and responsibilities of all team members and all the construction procedures necessary for job execution. It includes a full discussion regarding communication, coordination and scheduling issues.
Silbernagel was asked if construction will begin this fall, and he said that would be determined at the meeting.
The final phase of the nearly $2.24 million project, awarded to WyoDak Energy Services of Buffalo, will construct the transmission lines from the existing drilled wells to tie into the city’s water treatment plant for a backup water supply for the city.
