A sentencing hearing was held Tuesday in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan for 54-year-old Christina Nutter, who was arrested and charged with Felony Theft last October. The charge stems from Nutter fraudulently using a business credit card while she was an employee of Northwest Distributing Company Inc. Nutter had been using the credit card to pay personal bills. In February, Nutter pleaded guilty to the charge pursuant to a plea agreement reached with the State.

District Court Judge John Fenn, at Tuesday’s sentencing, accepted the terms of the plea deal, and sentenced Nutter to one-and-a-half to three years in prison and a fine of $7,500, suspended in lieu of five years of supervised probation. Nutter was also ordered to pay $23,495.64 in restitution and $310 in various court costs and fees. A condition of the plea deal stipulates that Nutter must pay a minimum of $400 a month on the restitution amount, and that it must be paid-off in full within the five-year probationary term.
