Ron RichterCity officials recently provided an update on a US Army Corps of Engineers project near Mill Park in Sheridan. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
The US Army Corps of Engineers 1135 eco-restoration project encompasses multiple improvement areas along Little Goose, Big Goose and Goose Creeks in Sheridan. City Administrator Stu McRae said he’s been looking into why there hasn’t been much progress on a portion of the project near the confluence by Mill Park.
City Public Works Director Hanns Mercer explains why the work near Mill Park was delayed.
McRae said the Omaha District Commander with the Army Corps of Engineers told him that he met with his team and that they felt fairly confident that the construction above the confluence of the creeks in the Mill Park area would be complete by the end of October.

It would be nice to get the walking and biking paths open again.
