Ron RichterThe United States Air Force Academy Band will be in Sheridan for a special performance on Friday, September 13 in Kinninson Hall at the Whitney Center for the Arts on the Sheridan College campus. Their performance titled “100 Years of French Music” is free and open to the public and will feature a variety of French music styles, including ballsets and chamber symphonies and will be conducted by Captain Michael Flynn.
A recent media release from the USAF stated that the Academy Band, for over 60 years has used the power of music to honor our nation and our veterans, inspire patriotism, and connect the United States Air Force with local communities. According to information from their website, the USAF bands connect with communities all over the world, reaching over six million listeners at over 5,000 live and televised performances each year.
