While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Sheridan Police Department Chief Travis Koltiska and Captain Tom Ringley alerted the public to growing traffic in the area as the summer season begins.

The SPD Captain said now that summer has officially started, traffic will likely increase throughout the city. Specifically, as events, such as 3rd Thursday and the Farmers & Artisans Market, draw crowds of residents and visitors.

With ongoing street construction, navigating through the city may take more time than usual. Chief Koltiska said parking should not be an issue and leaving for your destination a little earlier may be a good plan.

The 3rd Thursday Street Festivals will begin at 5 p.m. and run until 9 p.m. June 20, in downtown Sheridan. The Farmers & Artisan Market begins 5-7 p.m. June 20, in conjunction with the first 3rd Thursday and will run every Thursday through Sept. 19, at The Whitney Commons.
