Jo Co Commission Approves Ballot Measure to Increase Lodging Tax

The Johnson County Commission has voted to approve a request to put an increase to the Lodging Tax on the November General Election ballot, as requested by the Johnson County Tourism Association (JCTA).

JCTA Marketing Director Toby Carrig spoke to the county commission during their Tuesday meeting to make the request.

Board Chairwoman Jody Sauers explained how the increase in the Lodging Tax would benefit the county.

The commission voted to approve placing the measure on the November ballot.
