Schedule for Johnson County Special Districts’ Budget Hearings Released

The budget hearings for the Special Districts in Johnson County have been released by Commissioners’ Administrative Assistant Kristan Kenyon.

Representatives of the districts will meet with the county commission on July 1 to discuss the budgets they have prepared for the upcoming 2024-25 Fiscal Year.

The hearings will begin at 9 a.m. with the Solid Waste District.

They will continue at 9:30 with Weed & Pest.

Clear Creek Conservation District will be at 10 a.m. followed by Rural Health District at 10:30.

The Powder River Conservation District will meet with the commission at 11, followed by Powder River Fire District.

The Cemetery District will start at 1:30 p.m. after a break for lunch, and at 2 will be Johnson County Fire District #1.

The County Healthcare Center Board will begin at 3 p.m. with the Senior Citizen Service District after at 3:30.

A commissioner’s review will wrap up the day at 4 p.m.
