Sheridan County’s Commissioners have approved and accepted a contract with the Wyoming Department of Health, Public Health Division for grant funding concerning Public Health Preparedness.

County Administrative Director Cameron Duff explained that County Public Health Nurse Manager Debra Haar was unavailable to attend the meeting, and he gave details on the contract.

Duff said it is getting more and more expensive to hire nurses for the public health office, and the grant funding has not increased in the last five years but the cost of bringing in nurses has increased substantially, which is making it difficult to fill the positions.
