Ron RichterThe first phase of a multi-phase rotomill and overlay project will begin soon in the North Heights Area of Sheridan. Under the consent agenda, the Sheridan City Council awarded the bid for the 2024 Pavement Maintenance Project to Simon Contractors in the amount of $1.63 million. City Engineer Thomas Morneau explains the rotomill and overlay process.
Morneau said Simon Contractors was the lowest qualified bid of the two bids the City received for the project. The project is funded using funds from the Capital Facilities Tax, General Purpose Excise Tax, Public Benefit, and Water Utility funds.
