Neighborhood Pop-Up Camp will continue this year

Three years ago, the Sheridan County YMCA and the Food Group teamed up and with some generous donations from Dairy Queen, began the Neighborhood Pop-Up Camp. 

Originally known as Camp in the Park, this program allows The Food Group to provide nutritious meals and snacks while the YMCA organizes and operates fun activities and games. Dairy Queen provides the summer treats. The program aims to keep kids in Sheridan fed and active during the summer season at no cost to parents.

While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, Sheridan County YMCA Executive Director Liz Cassiday said the partnership has paid off with the overwhelming success of the program.
