President of the Wyoming County Commissioners Association and Johnson County Commission Chair Bill Novotny made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse recommending Johnson County residents take advantage of the updated property tax relief programs.

As property values fluctuate throughout the Cowboy State, some residents will see reductions in property taxes, in other areas the rates have increased for another year.

State lawmakers spent the majority of the last budget session discussing and debating bills that could help homeowners during tax season.

Novotny wishes to ensure residents of Johnson County take advantage of the programs that can save them money.

The Johnson County Commission Chair recommends visiting the Johnson County Courthouse with any questions regarding property taxes or property assessments as those may have changed over the course of the last year.
