Aaron PalmerDuring their recent regular meeting in Kaycee, the Johnson County School Board voted to approve and accept bids for various projects at schools within the district.
The first is the Cloud Peak Elementary School Valve Replacement project, where they approved Long Building Technologies to complete phase two of the hot water actuators and valves on the Variable Air Volume (VAV) units at CPES, totaling $35,675.
Also approved and accepted was the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Compliance Study & Remediation project for district schools.
On March 28, Arete Design Group and JCSD1 held a bid opening for the 10 projects for the ADA compliance Study and Remediation for Kaycee, BHS and CCMS.
The lowest bid total cost came in at $534,050for concrete, asphalt, doors and plumbing guards repairs.
The individual projects awarded included Door Projects to Clear Creek Builders LLC, for a total fixed contract of $32,650; all Buffalo High School projects to Barnum Inc, for a total fixed contract of $296,750; all Clear Creek Middle School projects to Barnum Inc, for a total fixed contract of $122,650; and the Kaycee Main Entrance project to In Yarak Construction, Inc. for a total fixed contract of $73,000.
