Annually the WYO Performing Arts and Education Center and the Civic Theater’s Guild produce a co-production, bringing together and finding new talent from all over the Sheridan area.
This year’s production, A Little Night Music, music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by Hugh Wheeler will be directed by Erin Kranz with music direction by Ryan Landis.
In the production, Jim Schellinger plays Mr. Lindquist, Dan Cole portrays Count Carl-Malcolm Magnus, and Debra Haar is Desiree Armfeldt.
During an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Cole said Count Carl-Malcolm Magnus has been a welcome challenge getting to know.

Haar is stepping into a role as Desiree Armfeldt, a character looking back on past decisions that have led her to a place she no longer wishes to be.

Schellinger plays Mr. Lindquist, one of four singing storytellers that will help to move the story along and provide a conscience to the characters. A novice to the theater, Schellinger said he has had fun on his first production and has felt welcomed by everyone.

The production promises to be beautiful, hilarious, and witty with aching moments of adoration, regret and desire underscored by Sondheim’s sumptuous score May 3-5 and 9-12 in the WYO’s Mars Theater.
