The Sheridan County Conservation District will be providing some financial assistance to 2 Water Quality Improvement Projects along the Prairie Dog and Goose Creek Watersheds.
The District has approved more than $110-thousand in funding assistance as part of the Spring 2024 application period.
The 2 projects that were approved are a stock water and fencing project on Wildcat Creek, near the Koltiska Pumpkin Patch and a drain conversion and stock water development project on Big Goose Creek.
Funding for the projects come from federal grants with some contribution from the landowner.
The District awards financial assistance twice a year, but to be considered, applicants must have a final plan and cost estimate and any necessary permits in place or in process.
The next application deadline is August 1st.
