Johnson County Opens Bids for Comprehensive Plan

Johnson County has opened bids on the contract for the project to update the county’s Comprehensive Land Use Plan.
During the commission’s last meeting, County Planner Jim Waller opened and presented the two proposals received to the commission for their review.
According to Commission Chairman Bill Novotny, Y2 Consultants of Jackson and WWC Engineering of Sheridan submitted proposals with differences in their prices to perform the duties, but both were under what the county anticipated for costs on the project.
The bid amounts were not made public by the commission.
The proposals will be reviewed and scored until March 6, and then interviews with the companies, if needed, would be completed by March 19 with a decision to award the contract to follow, according to discussions.
