Johnson County COVID-19 Cases Climbs to 4 (Updated at 5pm Friday)

Johnson County now has four confirmed cases of coronavirus after three additional cases were reported by the Wyoming Department of Health Friday.
Marcy Schueler, with Johnson County Healthcare Center, also confirmed the four cases Friday, and the healthcare center is coordinating with the Wyoming Department of Health to prepare a release with more information.
The JCHC released their latest release to the media late Friday afternoon.
It is reprinted in its entirety below.
Wyoming Cases
The state is reporting 70 positive cases as of 03/27/20.
Johnson County Cases
We have four positive cases, two from yesterday and two additional today. The third one announced today is the spouse of the first. We have not received specific information about the fourth yet.
We are still waiting for test results on a JCHC inpatient from earlier this week.
COVID Evaluation Center
Today we established a COVID Evaluation Center with the capability to evaluate patients with respiratory symptoms in an isolated part of the hospital.
In order to access the COVID Evaluation Center, people must call (307) 684-2228 in advance to undergo a phone screening with a nurse prior to arriving. Based on that conversation, they will be guided to the appropriate place on our campus.
The COVID Evaluation Center will operate Monday through Friday from 10am to 5pm beginning March 30th.
Clinic
Clinic Patients can call the staff from their vehicle when they arrive, and avoid sitting in the waiting room if they prefer. Dial 684-2228. If you do not have a phone that you can use from your vehicle, call the clinic before you leave home, and get directions from the staff.
Supplies
This week JCHC collaborated with Sheridan Memorial Hospital and Campbell County Health on a joint supply order for mass quantities of N95 masks, procedure masks, isolation gowns, and gloves. The delivery date is not confirmed yet.
Telehealth Options
JCHC’s clinic is offering telehealth services for patients (basic primary care visits, consultations, and wellness checks). The technology interfaces our Electronic Medical Record with Zoom video conferencing. It will be ready by Monday, March 30, and we are already talking to patients about it. In preparation for using telehealth technology for visits, it is best (not required) for people to use the Follow My Health portal on the clinic’s electronic medical record system. The access link is on the front page of the Johnson County Healthcare website, or go to https://jchealthcare.followmyhealth.com/ and complete the online form. Patients simply will need to call the Family Medical Center to set up the appointment. 684-2228
We are so fortunate to live in this community, and we feel blessed to serve you during this unsettled time.
