Government Initiated Annexations

Wyoming law requires municipalities to adopt a resolution when pursuing government-initiated annexations. This resolution serves as a formal declaration of the municipality’s intent to annex specific territory and ensures compliance with statutory obligations. City of Sheridan Public Works Director Hanns Mercer addressed the resolution that needs to be adopted during a recent City Council study session.
The resolution regarding government initiated annexations will be an item of consideration at the City Council’s next regular business meeting on Monday, February 5.
