GPET Funding Applications Available

Applications are now available for GPET Funding. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

The City of Sheridan will be considering funding request applications from interested governmental and nonprofit agencies within the City for the 2024-2025 fiscal year budget. The applications are for General Purpose Excise Tax, or GPET funds. The application deadline is 5 pm on Friday, November 3. Any applications received after the end of the business day on November 3 will not be considered. Application forums are available here. The City Council in March approved for the current fiscal year the allocation of General Purpose Excise Tax Funds for 16 different non profit agencies for a total of $437,500. In November of 2022, residents voted to continue to levy the tax, which, according to the City, has been approved consistently since the 1980s.
