Sheridan Commission Hears Issues With Airport Lease

During their last regular meeting in September, the Sheridan County Commission was addressed by Michael Lansing during their Public Comment section of their agenda.
Lansing discussed his belief that one company should not be allowed to lease property at the county airport, and explained why.
Lansing said he had done research and none of those activities are going on at that company.
He said there isn’t a lot of hangar space and what is there could be put to better use.
Lansing said there is also debris and rubbish on the property in violation of the lease agreement, as well as other violations of the agreement.
He asked the commission to review the lease and find a new lessee.
Brian Miller also spoke on the airport, saying the airport can be a major asset to the community which is currently not being utilized to its full potential.
