JCHC CEO: Medicare Reimbursement Coming

Johnson County Healthcare Center CEO Shawn McCallister gave an update on the facility to the board during their recent meeting, touching on subjects including receiving money back from Medicare.

McCallister said the recent cost report reconciliation from fiscal year 2018 resulted in Medicare owing roughly a quarter of a million dollars in underpayments to the healthcare center.

He explains more about the process.

According to discussions, there is currently a cost report reevaluation happening for fiscal year 2019 as well, which is currently being reviewed by Medicare, that appears will benefit the facility for close to $900,000.
