Sheridan Commission Approves Budget Amendment for FY 2023-24

Sheridan County’s Commissioners have approved a budget amendment for their current 2023-24 budget.

Resolution No. 23-07-014 amended the current budget to show unanticipated revenues and expenditures in departmental and fund budget balances from Fiscal Year 2022-23, as explained by Administrative Director Cameron Duff.

Some examples of the adjustments included were operating expenses in the General Fund to appropriate just over $710,000 in unanticipated grant expenses and just over $1.4 million in unanticipated grant revenues; over budget expenditures of $24,500 in the Emergency Management Department for the purchase of sand, sandbags, and communication equipment; and $30,000 in over budget expenditures in the IT Department to purchase software.
