Aaron PalmerBuffalo’s City Council, at their regular meeting Wednesday evening, voted to accept the Local Government American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Grant Award for the Sunset Avenue Water and Sewer Lines project.
In a meeting earlier this year, the council approved a resolution to re-apply for the ARPA Grant funding for the project, which will replace the water distribution line and the sanitary sewer line on Sunset Avenue from Park Lane to Cedar Street.
The amount requested from the state was $2,427,250, which was awarded to the city.
The grant will be combined with a local match of nearly $577,000 for a total on the project of just over $3 million.
