Ron RichterThe Teal Springs Subdivision Planned Unit Development received final approval as the Sheridan City Council approved third and final reading of ordinance 2267 at their recent meeting. The ordinance rezones 64.9 acres from B-1 and R-1 to a Planned Unit Development, or PUD. Sheridan resident Claire Deuter addressed the City Council with a number of concerns prior to their approval of the ordinance.
A motion by Councilman Shawn Day to table the item failed and the ordinance was adopted on a 6 to 1 vote with Councilman Day being the lone no vote. The PUD is located south of Brundage Lane and west of Coffeen Avenue just south of Wetlands Drive. The preliminary plat is for 59 lots, six outlots, and two tracts and 57 single family lots ranging in size from .33 of an acre to 1.16 acre.
