Cowgirl Cadillacs Horse Sale

The Cowgirl Cadillacs, formerly Bots Sots Remount, horse sale was held on Saturday, June 17, at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds.

The horses consigned were “From the Ladies, For the Ladies,” according to the sale catalog.

Fifty-two horses were consigned to the sale, and bidding, in-person as well as via phone and internet, was brisk. The high seller was a 10-year-old quarter horse gelding, consigned by Ina Yoder, that sold for $135,000.

Second high seller was 2010 model AQHA gelding consigned by Sarah McKibben, which sold for $110,000. Several of the horses sold for over $50,000.

Sankey ended the auction thanking those who attended.

Although the majority were Quarter Horses, a colorful leopard appaloosa, several Gypsy Vanner Horses and one Rocky Mountain Horse came through the ring. A few draft horse crosses and paints were also represented.

There was also a trade show in the exhibit hall featuring cowgirl and horse related items.
