Pat BlairNearly a dozen manufacturing companies put their products on display and stood ready to answer questions and talk about what they do during Sheridan’s first-ever Manufacturing Expo Saturday at Sheridan College.
The event was open free to the public and hosted by the New West Manufacturing Partnership, an industry-led cohort of manufacturing companies in the area.
Kassi Trujillo-Adams, who’s the convener for the New West Partnership, said New West had a couple of goals planned for the event.
She said manufacturing is a really important economic driver in this region, that provides a lot of interesting and meaningful careers for people within the community.
Exhibitors included EMIT Technologies, Weatherby and Kennon Products among others.
In addition to the exhibits, those attending could attend three presentations during the afternoon, by Casey D. Osborn, EMIT CEO; Sara Mines with Mines Consulting; and PJ Treide, owner of Big Horn Design Studio.
