Jo Co Commission Considers Waiving Hiring Freeze for Library

Johnson County’s Commissioners have voted to waive the county’s hiring freeze as requested by County Library Director Lindsey Belliveau.

Belliveau said the library has lost an employee, and was asking for permission to replace them.

The hire will not create a new position but rather replace an employee that vacated an existing position.

The commission considered the request and then voted to allow the library to hire a new employee.
