During a recent episode of Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, Academic Advisor for Sheridan College Karen St Clair and Anthony Fairbanks from the Sheridan VA Health Care System invited the public to attend the upcoming 9th Annual Community-wide Career Fair hosted at Sheridan College.
Fairbanks said the fair began as an event for veterans but has grown steadily over the course of the past eight years. The career fair is now held annually for anyone wishing to change or find a career.
With 58 employers in attendance, this year’s career fair is the largest yet. These employers are a collection of multiple industries with many different jobs available in varying fields.
St. Clair suggests reviewing or creating a resume to bring along as employers will be willing to interview during the fair.
The fair will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, inside Sheridan College’s Golden Dome.
