Ron RichterThe Sheridan City Council in November of 2022 approved three documents that set forth the establishment of a Housing Land Trust: a memorandum of understanding between the City, County and Habitat for Humanity for the Land Trust; an agreement to establish the Sheridan County Attainable Housing Council and a resolution that authorizes the use of ARPA funds and approval of the two agreements. City of Sheridan Mayor Rich Bridger says the partnership between the City, County and Habitat to address attainable housing in Sheridan County was the result of American Rescue Plan Act funds.
As the Sheridan County Attainable Housing Council prepares to move forward with projects to address workforce housing and attainability in Sheridan County, the group will host two upcoming listening sessions to gather input from the community. The first listening session will be Thursday, April 6 from 11 am to 1 pm, with the second session scheduled for Wednesday, April 12 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Both listening sessions will take place in Council Chambers on the third floor of Sheridan City Hall.
