The City of Sheridan will soon be applying for a Clean Water State Revolving Fund loan through the State Loan and Investment Board for the south clarifier component replacement project at the City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant. The City Council, at their most recent meeting, approved a resolution authorizing submission of the loan application. City Utilities Director Dan Roberts said that during the Wastewater System Master Plan assessment that began in April of 2022, the need for an urgent replacement surfaced, as the treatment plant’s south clarifier began to function improperly due to wear on deteriorated parts.
