WYO PLAY Middle School Drama Club brings students together
The WYO PLAY Middle School Drama Club – a combination of two school’s students to produce one performance under WYO Play– has executed another performance.
During an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, lead teacher and founder of WYO Play, Grace Cannon-Wallace, spoke on the Middle School Drama Club and the experience of working with two independent student bodies coming together to create one performance.
The process involves Cannon-Wallace bringing together students from both Tongue River and Big Horn Middle Schools for a unique performance experience. These two groups, each with specific parts to perform, met separately with Cannon-Wallace twice a week for seven weeks to learn their parts and develop the play.
This year, the WYO PLAY Middle School Drama Club presented ‘The Killer Story of the Story Killers’ – an original short play about four friends who meet up at a summer camp.
This is the second year of a collaboration with Sheridan County School District 1 and WYO PLAY.
