Johnson County Renews TA Liquor License, No Action on Moose Lodge

Johnson County’s Commissioners, at their last regular meeting, voted to renew the liquor license for the TA Guest Ranch, but took no action on renewing the license for the Johnson County Moose Lodge.

According to County Clerk Jackie Camino, the issues the State Liquor Commission had with the TA Ranch renewal were taken care of and she recommended the commission renew their liquor license.

The Moose Lodge still had issues concerning their renewal, and she explained them to the commission.

County Attorney Tucker Ruby said there is a provision in state statute that allows the commission to renew the liquor license even though the holder has no physical property, to give them a year to find a permanent location.

After discussion, the commission took no action on the Moose Lodge liquor license, effectively making it void as of March 11, 2023.
