Johnson County Amends Budget for Opioid Settlement Funding

Johnson County’s Commissioners have amended their current 2022-23 budget to add funding for opioid drug prevention measures in the county.
County Clerk Jackie Camino explained the need for the amendment at Tuesday’s regular meeting.
County Attorney Tucker Ruby said his office will now figure out exactly how the county can use the funding, and will look into the possibility of accepting additional funding in a meeting next month.
The commission passed Resolution No. 697 to accept the nearly $63,000 in settlement funds.
