Johnson County to Take Ownership of Roads

Johnson County’s Commissioners have voted to take ownership of two roads on the recommendation of County Road & Bridge Supervisor Scott Pehringer.

According to discussions at the last commission meeting, the two roads are in the area of the county fairgrounds complex.

Pehringer explained the reason for the request.

Pehringer said by taking ownership of the roads it will allow the county to use County Road Funds on the upkeep and maintenance of those roads.

The county passed Resolution Numbers 695 and 696, which will become finalized and effective upon adoption of them after a Public Hearing on April 4, 2023 at 9 a.m.
