A trial date has been set for a 19-year-old Sheridan man who is charged with one count of Sexual Abuse of a Minor in the Second Degree. Trace Koetting pleaded “not guilty” to the charge Thursday at an arraignment hearing in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan. District Court Judge John Fenn set the date for the two-day trial to begin on Monday, June 22. A pretrial conference was scheduled for May 26 at 10:30 am.

The charge stems from from an incident on November 26 of last year when Koetting allegedly had sexual relations with a 15-year-old girl. If convicted, Koetting faces up to 20 years in prison and fines of up to $10,000.
