Ron RichterThe administrator of the Sheridan Economic and Educational Development Authority provided an update to the Sheridan City Council and Mayor Rich Bridger at the Council’s business meeting this week. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
SEEDA is a joint powers board that was created in 2007 and is a partnership between Sheridan College and the City of Sheridan. SEEDA Administrator Robert Briggs provided some background to their mission during a community update at the recent City Council meeting.
Briggs provided an update on the various projects SEEDA has been affiliated with since 2007.
Since the High-Tech Business Park in north Sheridan is all but full, Briggs said SEEDA recently hired a local engineering firm to conduct a feasibility study on three to four potential sites for a new business park as well as the development of one preferred alternative. Briggs added that SEEDA will hold a strategic planning session at 10 am on December 20 in the boardroom of the Whitney Academic Center at Sheridan College.
