Ron RichterThe Sheridan City Council at their May 16 business meeting approved a notice of termination of the contract with Rocky Mountain Ambulance for emergency medical services for the City. After advertising a Request for Proposals for EMS services, the City received bids from Rocky Mountain Ambulance, American Medical Response, Inc,(AMR) and Northeast Wyoming Ambulance Service. The City Council at their meeting Tuesday night, awarded the contract for EMS to Northeast Wyoming Ambulance Service. City Administrator Stu McRae.
McRae provided details of the NEWAS proposal that was approved.
The Council’s approval of the award enables City staff to work with the County and begin negotiating the contract with the recipient of the award. City Attorney Brendon Kerns said the length of the contract will be determined during negotiations. Northeast Wyoming Ambulance Service will begin providing ambulance service on November 19, 2022.
