Artists make connection with the public in “Art Alley”

Celebrate the Arts lasts for four days with events happening in Sheridan, at Sheridan College, Ucross and at the Brinton. This celebration brings the art community of the Sheridan region together to showcase their talents and highlight gifted artists in various mediums and performances. The celebration of art and culture in Sheridan has live music, dance, art and literary events.
SAGE Community Arts will hold Art Alley beginning at 5 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 25. Executive Director of SAGE Community Arts and chair of Celebrate the Arts Jill Benson told listeners that local artists will be creating works on Brundage Street in downtown Sheridan.
Benson told listeners that witnessing the creative process of an artist forms a connection with the artist and the work, something many collectors are seeking.
Celebrate the Arts will kick-off at noon on Thursday, Aug. 25, with a reading and Q&A with award-winning author and Ucross Fellow Brandon Hobson in the Kooi Library at Sheridan College. This event includes light refreshments and is free and open to the public.
Art Alley, hosted by SAGE Community Arts will be on Brundage Street in downtown Sheridan 5-7 p.m. Aug 25.
