The public can bring their unused, unwanted or outdated prescription medications to be collected and disposed of properly.

There are some items that cannot be collected at this weekeand’s events including needles and sharps; Mercury thermometers; oxygen containers; chemotherapy medicines; radioactive substances; pressurized canisters; and liquids and creams.

For those that cannot make either event this weekend, there is a drop box in the lobby of the Johnson County Justice Center or home disposal kits are available at Public Health in Buffalo or at the Kaycee Clinic.
