The Johnson County Justice Office will be offering occupational drug testing services to the county and private companies to save money and make it easier to test employees.

Director Mark Wilson, talked to the county commission about what the County Justice Office is and the services they can provide.

County Attorney Tucker Ruby said the benefit of having the justice office perform the testing duties is cost davings on testing, because as a county entity, the cost of testing services can just be built into their budget.

He said they are confident that the office can provide testing services more cost effectively for other governmental agencies and private companies in Johnson County.

Ruby said they are not interested in drawing customers in from other cities and counties, but to provide a needed service to those in Johnson County.
